‘The Forbidden Fruit’ star film in editing

New Iranian film ‘Russian’ starring ‘The Forbidden Fruit’ actress Tannaz Tabatabaee is at editing stage.

Producer Ali-Akbar Saghafi broke the news to local media, adding other technical phases of the flick will be done after the editing completes.

Tannaz Tabatabaee, Saber Abar and Amir Aqaee costar in the flick directed by Amir-Hossein Saghafi.

This is the second collaboration of Abar with the same director as he has already participated in the film ‘Everything is for Sale’ by Saghafi.

The film’s shooting locations were in Tehran and several other Iranian provinces.

‘Russian’ with a social theme addresses the most prominent problems in family and society.

The film unit seeks to make ready the film to attend the 37th Fajr Film Festival in Iran to be held in February 2019.

Tabatabaee has also taken part in some TV series, including 'In the Eye of the Storm' (2006), The Forbidden Fruit (2007), 'Open Parenthesis' (2009), and 'Heart of Ice' (2012).

She won the Best Actress in a Supporting Role award from the Celebration of Iran's Cinematic Critics and Writers for ‘Sounds’ in 2009 and the Celebration’s Diploma of Honor for the Best Actress in a Leading Role for ‘Salve’ in 2011.

Tabatabaee was also nominated for the Best Actress in a Leading Role award for her appearance in ‘The Sound and the Fury’ (2015) at the 34th edition of Fajr Film Festival.

Her performance in 'Crazy Rook' gave her a nomination for the Best Actress in a Leading Role at the 33rd Fajr Film Festival.
